A Stirring in the Heart
In 2022, God placed a stirring on the heart of Pathways for Hope Founder, Randy Mills—a call to address the value of unborn life and highlight its importance in a way that often goes overlooked. Randy believed this concern was placed on his heart by God for a special purpose, and he felt compelled to act.
Answering the Call to Protect Life
What does it mean to be Pro Life, especially from a man’s perspective? Seeking clarity and purpose, Randy opened himself to God’s guidance and explored the depth of men’s roles in honoring and defending life. He felt a calling—not only to understand, but to act, and to create pathways for hope for those facing the realities of unplanned pregnancies. Engaging the Local Church and recognizing the power of community, Randy reached out to a few local churches, believing it could be a catalyst for change by bringing light and hope just as Jesus did. His search for meaningful partnership led him to Save the Storks, a national organization known for empowering local groups to provide tangible support to women and families in crisis. Save the Storks, along with three churches local to Castle Rock, decided it was time to bring a bus to Castle Rock, CO.
The Birth of a Vision
As partners worked tirelessly to build momentum, a remarkable act of generosity changed everything. An anonymous donor, moved by the cause, contributed a significant gift! This provision made possible a long-held dream—a mobile medical unit, equipped to serve those in need with dignity and love. The grant brought forth more than just a bus; it birthed a vision— Aviva Care. The mobile medical unit was designed to provide free ultrasounds to women facing unplanned pregnancies, meeting them where they were with kindness and clinical care. It offered more than medical services; it provided assurance, dignity, and the first glimpse of new life.

The story of Pathways For Hope is far from over. As the organization looks ahead, the commitment to God’s mission remains unwavering. Pathways For Hope will continue partnering with the local church and Save the Storks to provide free ultrasounds to any woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
